The AJC+ Awards are held every four years to honor excellence and outstanding contributions in the fields of architecture, design, journalism, and related disciplines.
The inaugural ceremony took place on November 19, 2022, at the Auditorium of the Government Museum, Sector 10c, Chandigarh, and spotlighted individuals who had made significant contributions to the growth and ethos of AJC+.​
​Focusing on design journalism and its allied disciplines, the awards spotlighted excellence across categories such as Ph.D. Thesis, Academic Achievement, Design Research, and Lifetime Achievements, emphasizing the importance of critical analysis and storytelling in architecture. Among the highlights, Patwant Singh received a posthumous award for his pioneering contributions to architectural journalism, and Jayaraman Subramanian and Namita Singh were recognized for their lifetime achievements in architectural design.
